We are excited to announce three new sponsors for Kiteboarding 4 Cancer: emergen-C, Cascade Kiteboarding and KINeSYS.
KINeSYS – Sport Sunscreen
I fell in love with the KINeSYS a few years ago when one of my favorite Canadians brought me a sample. It’s an Alcohol-free spray sunscreen with a light mango scent that makes you want to lick yourself when you put it on. Ok, maybe not that good, but pretty dang good. It is true performance sunscreen that provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection and is easy to apply before and during any activity.
Ideal for athletes and individuals requiring maximum sun protection during rigorous activity, it does not require messy rubbing and dries quickly without oily residue to hinder grip or comfort, while allowing skin pores to breathe normally.
Specially formulated with Parsol®1789 (Avobenzone) for maximum sun protection, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, irritants such as oil, alcohol, PABA and preservatives have been replaced with more sophisticated ingredients.
KINeSYS is providing a variety of sunscreen products for athletes in each athlete goody bag.
emergen-C Vitamin Supplements
emergen-C is supplying our athletes with their ELECTRO MIX, which supplies the electrolytes your body needs during the 6-hour endurance race including potassium, calcium, magnesium, and manganese. ElevtroMIX also includes chromium to support energy metabolism which is pretty important on the Columbia River on Saturday.
The stuff you’re getting in your athlete packs on Saturday is sodium-free, calorie-free and sugar-free, so nothing but some good supplements to keep you going.
Cascade Kiteboarding: Kiteboarding Lessons in the Gorge
We really hope you’ve already taken kiteboarding lessons if you’re racing in Kiteboarding 4 Cancer, because if you haven’t, you might be in trouble. But if you haven’t, these are the guys you’ll want to take your lessons from. It will be a good idea to wait until after this year’s event because Cascade Kiteboarding is providing the jet ski support and safety for the weekend. They’re also donating a learn-to-kite package for the silent auction and sponsoring the webcast to spread the Kiteboarding 4 Cancer love across the world.
What’s cool about Cascade is that they use jet skis for all of their water lessons, all water lessons are 1 on 1 private lessons, and they use these cool space-age radio helmets for instruction so you get instant feedback! It beats listening to your instructor yell at you from the water.
